For any of the Seminar series, you can choose to attend one or all three seminars.  On the calendar, you can search for seminars in your community.

 Seminar Series for Parents of Children 0-12 years of age

In Triple P Seminar programs you will learn how to:

Seminar One: The Power of Positive Parenting

  • Ensure a safe engaging environment
  • Use assertive discipline
  • Create a positive learning environment
  • Have reasonable expectations
  • Look after yourself as a parent

Seminar Two: Raising Confident, Competent Children

  • Show respect to others
  • Be considerate 
  • Have good communication and social skills
  • Have healthy self-esteem
  • Become a good problem solver 
  • Become independent

Seminar Three: Raising Resilient Children

  • Express feelings appropriately
  • Build a positive outlook
  • Develop coping skills
  • Deal with negative feelings 
  • Be able to manage stressful life events

 

Seminar Series for Parents of Teens 10-16 years of age

In Triple P Teen Seminar programs you will learn how to:

 Seminar #1: Raising Responsible Teenagers

  • Include teenagers in family decision making
  • Be involved in family activities
  • Develop a healthy lifestyle
  • Be respectful and considerate
  • Become reliable and assertive 

Seminar #2: Raising Competent Teenagers

  • Develop self-discipline
  • Establish good routines
  • Get involved in school activities
  • Become a good problem-solver
  • Have supportive friends 

Seminar #3: Getting Teenagers Connected

  • Encourage teenagers to be confident
  • Plan ahead
  • Meet their commitments
